Research Objectives

IWU-REEU fellows will learn garden design, propagation, grafting, compost management, beekeeping basics, and insect pest/weed identification.

Introduce native pollinator gardens to urban gardens to enhance pollinator richness and abundance.

Equip students with hands-on experience in pest, pollinator, and plant surveys that enhance Integrated Pest and Pollinator Management (IPPM) in urban gardens

Provide outreach to the community by providing education and awareness related to pest and pollinator management.
